Dr Panagiota Koutsimani

Dr. Panagiota Koutsimani is a graduate of the Department of Psychology of A.U.Th., holds a MSc in Cognitive Psychology and Neuropsychology from A.U.Th., and a PhD title in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Macedonia. Currently, she is a post-doctoral researcher at A.U.Th. in the field of Neuropsychology. Dr. Koutsimani had received a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation for the conduct of her doctoral studies, and has been awarded with the outstanding doctoral thesis award "Maria Nasiakou" award during the 18th Panhellenic Conference of the Hellenic Psychological Society at 2022.

She has taught courses in Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology, Biopsychology, Psychopharmacology, Methodology and Statistics, Cognitive Rehabilitation and Psychological Assessment and Interventions in mental health disorders in both private and state tertiary institutes. Her research focuses on the investigation of modifiable risk factors that may affect cognitive health and contribute to the onset of neurodegenerative diseases and cognitive impairement. She has published her research in both greek and international peer – reviewed journals, and has also presented her research in greek and international conferences. Dr. Koutsimani is a regular member of the Hellenic Psychological Society and the Hellenic Neuropsychological Association. Since February 2024 she has been the Treasurer of the Hellenic Neuropsychological Society.
