Pavlos Kolias holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Statistics and Modelling (with Distinction) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Currently, he is a final-year PhD candidate in the Department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, working on the theory of non-homogeneous high-order semi-Markov systems. For his PhD studies, he has received two annual scholarships from the A.G. Leventis Foundation and two compensatory scholarships from the Department of Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has published research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at international conferences. His main interests include stochastic processes, probability theory, and statistics, with applications in Psychology, Sports science, and Health-related subjects. Finally, he is a member of the American Statistical Association (ASA) and the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
