This programme is designed for students with an interest in people and the alignment of people and business strategy. Managers and employees alike can benefit greatly from a better understanding and knowledge of people at work. This programme provides the knowledge and skills that are needed to compete successfully as both general managers and human resource specialists in today's complex and changing world of business. The programme is addressed but not limited to students who have acquired their bachelor's degree in business studies, psychology, sociology, political science, social anthropology and social policy.

Strategy Formulation
Strategy formulation is concerned with the direction and scope of an organisation in the long term. Students will acquire skills for analysing the environment in which an organisation operates, identifying alternative solutions to strategy problems and choosing among them through an elaborate evaluation process.
Research Methods for Business
This unit provides a series of lectures on academic presentation, writing skills and an introduction to research issues and methods. the unit examines a wide range of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative, with reference to their philosophical base and practical application in marketing, management, banking and the leisure industry. The aim is to help students design, implement and apply their own research as well as to equip them to be able to critically evaluate published material.
Managing People in Organisations
This unit involves critical exploration of core concepts in current organisational theory with comprehensive analysis of the new managerial implications and practices. Recent developments in human resource management are discussed in depth, while structural changes in organisations of different sizes and sectors are analysed.
Operations & Process Management
This unit involves an overview of the processes and systems which are involved in the receipt, transformation and delivery of products and services in modern organisations. Students develop skills in analysing the major challenges of the operations function and applying specific analytical and numerical techniques in problem solving.
Accounting & Finance for Managers
Analysis of three key aspects of accounting practice. management accounting involves the provision of information internally to facilitate processes of management control. Financial strategy concerns processes of capital investment and treasury management.
HR Policies and Practices
Organisations focus on people. As the 21st century begins to unfold, the focus on human resources (HR) within an organisation has never been more critical. HR is a critical success factor for organisations looking to become more effective, focused, and competitive. Since the mid-1990's, organisations have been going through rapid and fundamental changes in the way they do business. Whether one reviews these changes in terms of globalisation, reengineering, TQM, or downsizing, there is more and more evidence to suggest that focusing on human resources within an organisation can provide one of the keys to success.
International HR and Leadership
This unit aims to develop your understanding of the impact of globalization on HRM and introduce you to various strategic issues and practices that need to be addressed by international organisations from a leadership perspective. The relevant academic literature tends to fall into three main areas: HRM and corporate strategy; cross-cultural management; and comparative business systems. With references to particular HR practices students will see that IHRM is a balance between meeting needs for organisational integration and adapting to the local political, cultural and economic contexts.
Strategic Marketing
This unit integrates the "tools" and the framework that practitioners will use in applying marketing. The understanding of marketing requires the understanding of its concepts but the successful application of it requires the ability of analysis, evaluation and synthesis; analysis of the situation, evaluation of it and the synthesis of a solution. Furthermore, effective marketing application requires the ability to decide and implement under conditions of uncertainty and restrictions of resources.
In this unit the students will be expected to develop their analytical, critical and synthetic abilities regarding the elements of the marketing environment. They will be expected to draw on their knowledge of different aspects of marketing and provide complete solutions to marketing problems. Such solutions will be expected to be applied in different sectors of economic activity.
Dissertation
The dissertation represents a piece of individual and original research based on an approved topic of the student’s choice related to the course and selected in consultation with tutors. The term ‘originality’ here does not necessarily imply that the dissertation will develop new theoretical insights or models but that it clearly demonstrates the development of new insights and knowledge in the candidates own mind and work.

The Career, Employability and Enterprise Centre, focuses on helping students to set attainable career goals. Through career fairs, and different internship programmes, the department aims at constantly bringing students in contact with prospective employers.
Every spring we organize the Annual Career Fair presenting with an opportunity to get a first feel of job seeking. During the event students and alumni have interview opportunities with corporate recruiters and present their skills and abilities to potential employers. Large companies, organisations and multinationals from different industries across S.E.
