Munich, Germany
Haris Chiotis, graduate of our English Studies Department (BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics) is based in Nymphenburg in Munich, Germany and works as English Language Instructor and Preschool Teacher for the International House for Kids Nymphenburg in Munich. “The BA (Hons) in Language and Linguistics programme prepared me for my current career in English Language Teaching. Through various units, I was able to learn how to approach several types of learners in a controlled and safe environment. Through challenging assignments, I was able to express my creativity and identify my drive. The academic staff helped me elevate my skills and bring my ideas into reality in an interactive and supportive way. Being a graduate of the CITY College helped me find a job in a well-established institution in a European country, directly after my graduation.”
National Trade Marketing Director
Anheuser Busch
New York, USA
Filip Luneski completed both his Bachelors and Masters studies at CITY College and today lives in New York, USA, where he continues to build his successful career in the sector of Marketing.
“I started my career in Coca-Cola Serbia, where I had the privilege and pleasure to be part of an array of campaigns and projects, some of which had a monumental impact in the Serbian marketplace. I moved into an international career in Molson Coors, looking after 10 European markets as a Director of Trade Marketing and Category Management. Currently, I hold the position of National Trade Marketing Director in Anheuser Busch USA, based in NYC. I owe a big part of my career and even life success to my studies at CITY College, because it was there where I learned what it means to appreciate diversity and be open to the world. It almost feels like I started my career with my first year of my studies, because the academic environment mimics a real life experience, therefore I started to become ‘hungry’ for success and ambitious in the very classroom.”
Filip completed at CITY College the BA in Business Studies (Marketing) and the MA in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations programmes.

Continuing our tour around the world today with our alumna, Dina Gojkovic Grimshaw who is based in Lincoln, UK with her husband and two children and works as Research and Evaluation Lead at Associate Development Solutions Ltd. After completing the BSc (Hons) in Psychology at CITY College, Dina moved to UK to undertake her PhD studies and even took a full scholarship from the University of Lincoln!
Here’s what Dina had to say about her journey after her graduation from CITY College:
“I came to UK in 2006 to do a PhD in mental health and criminal justice at the University of Lincoln, on a full scholarship. My interests lie in how we can determine ‘what works’ in the complex world of psycho-social interventions, and how to improve outcomes for vulnerable adults and children. Following my PhD studies, where I worked on a range of projects funded by the UK Department of Health, I took up a post-doctoral position at the University of Southampton, where I stayed to teach for another five years. In 2014, I moved into the private sector, where I currently work as Research and Evaluation Lead at a private consultancy firm. I have worked on a range of exciting projects which look at innovative interventions to improve well-being of children and adults.
I am a contributing member of Cochrane group, a pre-eminent international organisation, which focuses on producing high-quality and up-to-date systematic reviews to inform health decision-making around the world. I am a certified tutor with the Institute of Leadership and Management a professional body which provides internationally-recognised management qualifications. I have published widely in international journals and authored two books on comparative offender rehabilitation. In September, 2020, I will be taking on a new role as an academic lead for post-graduate courses, which the company I work for delivers across a range of universities in England.”
