IOM’s Coordination team for Skills Development & Community Engagement commented: “IOM in mainland Greece has been assessing the learning needs of adult site residents and has designed for meaningful learning activities (Greek, English and ICT courses). The specific training provided by the Humanities Department of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus was proven valuable in increasing IOM field staff's capacity and in fostering migrants’ overall empowerment during their stay within the Greek Reception system. We are positive that the collaboration with the CITY College trainers will significantly support IOM field teams' efforts to release the life-long learning potential of adult migrants residing in accommodation facilities across Greece’’.
